Fiber

Planting chemistry for hemp grown for fiber

Why this band exists

Fiber hemp is a stand of stalks. Uniform emergence, a healthy early canopy, and ground that is still alive are the crop. rechem's fiber program is organic chemistry at planting, so that stand comes up able to defend itself. The work is in the seed and the furrow, where the fiber crop is actually decided.

Why now

Fiber farmers are planting a crop the broader input market still treats as an afterthought, or treats with chemistry borrowed from crops that are supposed to be cleaned out. Hemp grown for fiber deserves a planting program written for the stalk.

How it fits

Fiber shares the seed pass with grain, then asks something different of the stand: height, uniformity, and bast that will rett cleanly. Immunity is the method. Soil is what has to still be there after the stalks come off.

Each part of this band is a place the chemistry has to work. Open the field note, then the next part of the field.

  • Fiber stand · instead of a broad burn-down

Planting chemistry for a uniform hemp stand grown for stalk and fiber.

  • Early canopy

The first weeks decide whether the fiber crop shades its own row or spends the season catching up.

Where to start

  1. Treat the fiber crop as a stand of stalks, decided at planting.
  2. Keep the chemistry on the seed and the planting pass.
  3. Read the fiber note beside the seed note before the next season.
